Adorable....but I thought I was going to see some serious Bratwurst on the grill or something. I had that for dinner tonight, along with some saurcraut (sp?) and mustard....

Cute dog though....Still have not figured out where exactly you are. I know you are up North of me, but that view reminds me of the NC mountains.

here's the view from our house, it is definitely mountainous... though I don't know what range it is.... I know the app trail is a few miles away from us, and Blue Mountain is around here too... but there's a bunch of ranges that come together in this area and it's all very confusing... but very beautiful!! I looooove PA

great pics Mimzy, your dog is sharp!
My wife said she would like a basset hound. I hear they are really good around children.

This is what I thought of too. Although I had bratwurst and saurkraut at Oktoberfest in Munich. That was during my drinking days too.

Love the pictures of Roland. It must take him 5 minutes to run all the way across that field.

HOLY LAWN!!! How many illegals you got maintaining that?
um... actually... all it takes is myself & the Hubbs about an hour in the lawn tractor from sears.
...and this is rural PA, there are no illegals around here. That stuff isn't appreciated in these parts.

he LOVES him some little kids. omg. he has a freak attack if he hears a kid crying...has to run over and cover the child in slobbery kisses. My Folks have a friend w/an autistic 3yr old, and this kid literally drapes himself over Roland's middle and pulls on his ears and rides him all over the house, and steady old Roland just sits there waggin' his tail the whole time.
Every dog is an idividual, so you have to be careful until you really know your dog, but Bassests as a breed are historically good with kids.
....we got Roland from a Basset rescue agency, no need to buy purebred dogs, even if you want a puppy - plenty of homeless beauties out there.
