Best New Fish Under $100 Suggestions?

I have a 54 Corner Semi FOWLR with 60 lbs LR and have a spotted puffer, scopas tang, panther grouper and Huma Huma. The four are best friends and very healthy. All are about 3 inches. What should I add? Wife said no to a small eel. She mentioned something about "snakes on a plane". I want to add 2 or 3 fish. Any suggestions would be great! Any PICs would be great.
Thxs,
Mc

I would not add anything to that list as it is way over board now; I would delete. Those are all LARGE adult fish (babies now). A very large bio load too. I get sick everytime I see or read "well they will get large and then I will upgrade or trade them". Never happens, they die. Just my opinion no flaming.

With that fish list it seems you are a bit overstocked as it is. The puffer, trigger and grouper are gonna get HUGE and shouldnt really be in a tank that small to begin with.

uhoh, watch out this post is gonna get the tang police in here. But those fish are gonna get big. If you didnt have those 4 fish, and had 4 smaller fish, you could add 2-3 more fish in there

Just the panther grouper makes that tank overstocked. Panthers get 26 inches. Then, you have three other HUGE waste producers. I would not look to add anything. I would first look at getting a much larger tank.

That Huma is going to wake up one day and start shredding fins for sure. I'm glad i am not the only one that says that it is too full now.

HOLY SH1$ GET THAT PANTHER GROUPER OUT OF THERE .. I have seen one over 2 feet long and just to let you know they eat anything they can fit into their mouths .. they're not the slowest growers you've ever seen either

According to Scott W. Michael the minimum tank size for a panther grouper is 180 gallons .. but I personnaly wouldn't put it in anything less than a 200

Bio load no issue. Fuge, water changes and maticulous testing will never be an issue. Size.......will address in 6 months.......just get bigger tank. For those who say I won't......track record says I will and what's another 2-3K. Crack is crack! That or I will trade them in. MY LFS are very nice to me since I have spent a fortune with all of them.

6 MONTHS! .. do you relize that in 6 months the panther grouper will be as big as you head!? .. have you ever seen a full grown panther grouper .. I've only seen one and let me tell you .. after seeing it eat I was checking to see how thick the glass was to make sure it didn't jump out of the tank and have my hand as an after dinner snack

Maybe I don't feed enough? Flake and mysis mainly, dailey. I think he is half blind because he whiffs at food all of the time. Also, he has only grown an inch in 4+ months. If he gets above 5 inches, he'll be gone. Maybe I will stick to raising the giraffes in my basement?

Why bother posting a thread if you do not want to listen to advice. Maybe we have made the same mistakes and want to HELP you out.

what the H311? .. no .. I had 2 tangs in my 90 gallon and have 7 in my 210 .. I'm just being realistic here .. the fact is is that you have a huge juvenile fish in your tank .. I'm not trying to exxagerate anything here

3 of the 4 fish will outgrow that tank by themselves. So to add another is out of the question. You need to upgrade your tank size how it is. Its not like its just one person telling you.

Yep, I agree. I would not put any money toward a new fish. All my free spending money would be going to first, buying more fish foods to provide a better diet to your animals, and second, to upgrading your tank to at least a 180 gallon.
Also, if your fish are not growing that quickly, there are either not getting a proper diet or your water quality is poorer than you think. Flake food and mysis shrimp will not sustain any of those fish. They should be getting prawn, krill, squid, plankton, clam, mussel, scallop, silversides, and other meaty seafoods. The tang should also be getting a variety of greens such as kelp, spinach, marine algae, zooplankton, spirulina, etc.

What's that for? You started this thred asking for advice about stocking a tank and you are getting it. I also believe your fish will out grow the tank, and wouldn't adding another fish mean a meal for your panther? Remember we're just trying to give you advice.
