I think it's either a saltwater or freashwater crab. It might be reef safe or might not. I think they eat algae or meaty foods, maybe both. It's probably noctunal but likes to come out in daylight. Definitely an agressive scavenger that is a passive hunter.
I'd call it the Schizo Crab or the ReallyBadPicSoIHaveNoIdeaWhatItIs Crab.
Of course this is my opinion and I could be wrong.

Yeah, that could be a common emerald crab and we wouldn't be able to ID it with that picture. If you hadn't told me it was a crab, I wouldn't have a clue what you were holding. Any chance you can get a better picture? As a general rule, if the claws come to a point, it is a carnivore and you don't want it.
