So far I've gotten prices of $950, $899 and $620 for an AGA RR 180. Not including delivery and getting it into the basement onto the stand. And the one for $620 I would have to pick up.

It's just so deflating. I'm sitting here looking at an empty 180 gallon tank that was finally going so well!! All my acro's were re-encrusting and getting their color back, my fish were happy, chemicals were perfect....now everything is broken down and in 3 different places.
A new tank with delivery and install is going to run about $1300, which I don't have right now. And the tank can't get here until middle of next week.
I am just so stressed, deflated, tired, and upset....I can cry!!!

Concentrate on the 55 for now. Get all the coral and critters that you really want to keep in there and make sure everything gets the best care they can in there. Make this your new display for now. The rest of the rock can cycle with a power head and heater in tubs or barrels. Sand can just dry out for later use. Then you can take your time and do whatever it will be that you decide on. No pressure, no time constraints.

So far I've lost my goby, posibly my pistol shrimp, and my Toadstool fell onto the heater and it burned the side of it.

I have all my LR in a 55 Gallon trash can with water.....I have a heater and 2 PH's in there too. I covered it so not to have too much evaporation and when I removed the cover there was a distinct smell to it. Why is that?? My rock isn't dying is it?? It hasn't been out of water at all!!

Did you cover it all the way? I would not cover it.....it will still need the oxygen exchange and all that....

Wow, sorry to hear about all your trouble. The people I bought my 55 gallon from have a 120 (?) gallon tank that they had bought used...they were telling me how they filled it with water and had it all set up after they brought it home...went back upstairs, and heard a shhh sound. Went down to the basement and it was leaking out of all four corners! Needless to say they took the glass apart and resiliconed everything. I'm just glad you noticed what was going on before it was too late. I hope all goes well...glad you got everything out before it crashed...keep us posted and hang in there!

So I figure if I have to start over, i'm going to fix everything that I wanted to fix before, but couldn't because the tank was already running. I just spent $250 to upgrade my 2 Vortech Powerheads to the wireless drivers. It'll be a new toy to put a smile on my face
Anyone that doesn't know what that allows me to do....it will allow me to set up the 2 PH's in a multitude of different modes...Reef Crest, Lagoon Mode, Constant Speed, Feed Mode, Short & Long Pulse Mode, Night Mode, etc....and the best part is it does it all by wirelessly communicating to each pump. That's awesome!! Wish I had another grand to buy 2 more pumps!!
