What type of lighting do I need? Is my 10 hour light fine? 5 hour whites and 10 hour actinics... work?

Sparty,
Just a thought for the future, but you should really research your purchases heavily before buying.
The fact that you bought a coral and THEN asked what kind of lighting do I need suggests that you didn't do much research before the purchase. You may or may not skate by like this for a while with no harm done, but sooner or later it's goning to cost you.
Just my .02

I'm aware you're just putting in your two cents however, I'm many other threads I double even triple checked how much light I should need. I was just wondering the time I should leave my lights on. I am very keen on doing research and making sure I'm in the clear before i make any purchases. Simple misunderstanding.

Frogspawn are pretty well adaptable from medium high to low light environments if I'm not mistaken. I suspect they'll be ok.

They do. They will just open up a little more and grow faster under med-higher lighting. Of course, you can't fry them under halides at the top of the tank. I have frogspawn in about all of my tanks, and even tanks that share the same general sump (sharing water), I've noticed that the ones under PC's do not open up or grow as fast as the ones under T5 and halides (mid-bottom on tank), even if fed.

" Medium lighting and weaker current are appreciated by Euphyllids. Many are collected in shallow, turbid waters in the cover of mud/silt and seagrasses. Excessive water movement can be a cause of sweeper tentacle extension and subsequent stinging of tankmates. Likewise, the family is quite susceptible to photo-shock. New specimens should never be exposed to powerful lighting. Instead, place them in deeper, indirectly illuminated areas initially. "
I would place it from middle to upper middle tank under your PC lighting.

Well there are a few that I don't usually recommend that are not listed.
The best out of the list IMO is the Tropicorium.

When I bought my fish tank from someone they said go to Tropicorium. Apparently they have weekly deals and their stocks in unbelivable and all their fish are healthy. Is that true?
Choice - the associates there make me angry. They seem like you're bothering them so I never go there.

Yeah the Trop is just cool to visit but they do have a lot of stock. Big green houses with huge tanks full of coral frags, really pretty amazing.
I agree with you about Choice, but they do get some nice stuff in from time to time.
Have you tried Kee's. A good store with nice people running it and some nice coral stock. Take a day or two and visit all of them if you can.

Nope, never been there. Yeah, possibly next weekend I'll do some driving around. It looks like the furthest is about 40 miles so I might look at a few of the places. Have you ever been to Pet Connection?

5 and Middlebelt. They are a great shop a ton to choose from. However, yesterday when I went there I don't know if they had something wrong with their water as of recent or if something else was going on but there were 3 or 4 fish dead in their tanks. My gf was a bit upset about it and didn't want to stay in there much longer because it was bothering her so much.
