did you get them both at the same time? blue hippo was in tank when we bought the tank, don't really know how old it he is about 4 inches long.
want to get 2 clowns should we get the tang before we get the clowns or does it matter?

Just my $0.02 worth.
IMO a 90 is adequate for a Yellow Tang but too small for a Hippo.
Of all the Tang Combinations, a Yellow & Hippo is probably the most likely to succeed.

I had a blue hippo and yellow tang for more than a year and half. We had the yellow first.

how big will the blue hippo get? now is about 4 inches was with tank when we bought it.
finally got rid of blue damsel - had to take tank apart. all the rocks came out - we can now start getting some other fish. clowns and maybe one other.

They usually get 8 - 9 inches pretty quick and have a max size around 12".
It's not the size of the fish that makes them require a larger tank. It's their swimming habbit. If they can't "open up" once in a while they get stressed.

speaking from experance if you tore down that tank and put it back together i would hold of on adding thing for a few weeks and wacth the blue tang and any other fish in there for signs of stress other wise the taredown and the stress of new fish could case big problems just my 2 cents
