I am looking to get the same lights. That would be great if you could get a pic. Also, how do you like the lights? Are they nice and bright? Are the moonights good? Do you have a reef tank? Thanks.

Can I get a picture of how that works and what was the cost?
How do you control heat and how long do you keep your lights on?
My Sunpod 20" MH system will be here tomorrow and I am concerned about heat.
Thank you for your help.

I love the light! Considering I moved up from a 38g with 2 AGA strip lights to a 72g bowfront with the Orbit system, I couldnt be happier. Its much more enjoyable. Yar, I used 2 striplights on my 38, one had a 50/50 Coralife bulb and the other had an 03 Actinic bulb.
As far as the Orbit goes, its great, but I am going to swap out the bulbs soon. I want a little more blue tint in my tank, so the "dual-actinic" bulbs it came with be used as backups, and I will be getting some true Actinic PC bulbs to replace them. I may also replace the dual-daylight bulbs it has with 10k bulbs.
I got the Orbit for 210 bux. IMO, Cant beat that for quality.
I took a vid of the lunars, but it did not come out right cuz I didnt have enough lighting from the camera. I'll have to fiddle with the settings, I still dont have the whole camera memorized. I love the lunars that come on this Orbit, there is 4 of them. When I got the Orbit hooked up, I forgot I even had lunars lol. What a surprise after I realized I now had them, and plugged em in. Nice!

but its an idea of how it looks..

Well with heat in the summer, I am going to run a really small electric fan between my tank and the MH on low to keep the air flow moving between the two, so not to much heat build up! My MH cost me $245 that was shipped to my home..... and the Actinics cost me $25 for the fixture and $10 for the actual bulb I wanted in in!!!! SO I am about $280 in to my lighting system. My Actinics are on for 12 hours a day.... MH are up to 6 hours a day.... When you get your MH lighting Start them out on 1 hour a day, then in three days move them up an hour.... and so fourth......so:
Days 1-3: 1 Hour MH (IF you have actinics leave them on how long you plan to run them!!)
Days 4-6: 2 hours MH (IF you have actinics leave them on how long you plan to run them!!)
Days 7-9: 3 hours MH(IF you have actinics leave them on how long you plan to run them!!)
And so fourth till you get to the ammount you are going to use them a day!! Reason you do this is not to Shock your corals, and bleach them, and not to bleach and kill your Coraline algea!!!!

Thank you for the info. I dont have actinics just the MH. If I only run it for one hour and then so forth, will my BTA be ok? Because I dont have any other light.
Where did you get your actinics from and how do you have them over your tank?
Sorry for so many questions but I am not very creative myself.
Thanks for the help

HE should be cause it will more intense lighting ..... what you could do is make sure he is down near the bottom of the tank and start your lighting on 2 hours a day...... and the follow said scedule from there! I got my Actinics from my LFS, cause I waned it now....lol... but I have them over the back portion of my tank and they just barley fit on the lips, so I put some VELCROW on them to hold them in place and not fall in! I can take pix if you need to see it.... I do not mind helping .... I think that is why all of us are on the board..... TO HELP!!!!!

Totally free shipping? Hmmm. That sounds suspect lol. Who would ship a 4 foot long heavy package for free???
The Orbit was $209.99 for me, and total was $240 with FedEx 2-day shipping.

Thank you so much Jert6932. I think I may go and do the same thing.
My lights came in yesterday, and I love them.
What is that green thing in the back of your tank?
Thanks again
