Well, my "secret" technique depends a lot on the health of the female. If I'm not persistant about feeding her lots of healthy food the babies are smallish and must be fed Artemia Naupalii 3 or 4 times a day for a few days. If I'm diligent about keeping the female in top health the babies are born beefier and I feed them Prawn eggs twice a day. The fish fed Prawn eggs grow at almost twice the rate as the others. The sooner they are eating the Prawn eggs the higher the survival rate.
* Noe * - This ONLY applies to Banggai. All other fish I know of need smaller first foods such as Rotifers or baby Copepods.
