really??? i dont know maby. I might a gree with you because my clam could have died with the little light he had. I had him at the time under 130 watts. But i am going to upgrade to 440 watts plus the 130 watts. and that should be good.

Although it's not the happiest of endings, your upgrade should provide you enough light for a Squamosa Clam.
What kind of Clam did you have before?
Bang
ps. Really sorry for your loss. I really believe it had nothing to do with the Fire Worm.

thanks.. i had a blue clam. thats what was written on the glass of the tank above it when i purchased it. But with 440+130 watts on a 92, would i be able to keep any clams on my sand bed.(it is 6.1 watts a gallon.)
And by the way.. i had a hatian anenome that died about 3 weeks ago. it was in one spot for about a week and a half, and then it went over to the spot were i usually see that worm (brisstle,fire..no clue.) and it died the second day. And i saw a big sting on the foot of the anenome and its flesh started peeling off by itself.

You may want to look into this a little further. What exactly is the type of lighting you have? Your lighting may not have enough par value to reach the bottom of the tank. MH usually has the par value needed to reach the bottom of the tank. VHO may fall short in a tank of a 2 foot depth.

You seem to be discounting the fact that several, different, experianced people have told you that it is highly unlikely, 99% impossible, that the worm killed your livestock....Something else with your tank most likey killed these things....
Did you post your tank stats? whats your ph, alk, ca, nitrates, ects, ect? Chances are, one, or more of these things could be as problem....
I can tell you, again, the britsle worm did not kill your stuff..

i can believe that with the clam.. but i almost positively know that the bristle killed my hatian anenome. I saw it happen, but i thought to leave it alone, but then i realized it died from that cause.
and by the way..
my ph is 8.3
salinity- 1.024
nitrates- 0
nitrites- 0
and ammonia- 0-0.25

If your anemone moves then you usually have something making it unhappy and it's looking for the happy place. If it dies then you may not have a happy place in your tank. And anemones need alot of light also. It maybe that you need to get your lighting problem fixed first. then look into more clams and anemones. JMO

what i saw was, the bristle`s tenticle was messing with the anenome. it was going in its tentacles, down to its foot...ect.
