Brisstle worms??

Are bristle worms good or bad ....just found a few in my nano...very small an inch or so..... I have a fox. green hammer, brain..... anenome and a deresa clam.....will they bother anything or should I just let it go....... water is fine...... I have had this nano up for 18 months or so.

They're usually just a good part of the cleaning crew. When they get big or a lot of them are in the tank, that's when there's a problem.

When you get a lot of them it could mean that there is a lot of detrius material in your tank. I don't have a reef tank, but I don't worry with them.

in my fish tank i don't worry about BW but in the seahorse tank the seahorses will try to eat the small one and get stung in the snout and has a large percentage of being killed. the bristles are like littlie needles and do have a poison which will cause the snout to swell shut. some web sites call them fireworms also. don't know if this helps because in one tank i have them and the other i don't

You probably have a lot you just don't see them... they just help cleanup and aren't really harmful... I would warn you tho to not pick up your rocks for now on with your bare hands... use a plastic bag or something because if you touch a bristle worm it hurts.
