Hi all,
I found a small guy swimming in my tank after my lights off. I used the net to get it out. The size of it is like a copepod, but it's red.... After I took it into a small container, I think it's a little bristle worm!!! Is it possible bristle worms can swim??!!

sure, why not? BTW, copepods are much smaller. You might be refering to an isopod or an amphipod. check here to see what one -> http://www.lionfishlair.com/hitchhiker/hitchhiker.shtml
Yes, it is an amphipod size.

If it looked like a bristleworm that was swimming, it could be an epitoke.
What is epitoke? Good thing or bad thing?
Thanks.

This is how many annelid polychaetes reproduce. At breeding time, the body of both sexes differentiates into two regions, an anterior atoke and a posterior epitoke, in which gonads develop. When the moon is in a specific phase, the epitoke separates from the rest of the body and swims to the surface, releasing gametes.
Bottom line, you'll have some bouncing baby BW's...not really good or bad, depending on how you feel about BW's...

When the moon is in the Seventh House
And Jupiter aligns with Mars
Then peace will guide the planets
And love will steer the stars
....Also sounds like the season my Grandpappy told me was best for snipe hunting, if you ask me......
