bristle worms

i have bristle worms in both my tanks the lfs guy said they were a good sign on the live rock comming back. from what i have read this is not the case? any help. thanks

It depends... they are common hitch hikers so seeing some from time to time is ok and to be expected. However an over abundance of them usually means too many excess nutrients in the water and thats not a good thing.

They are fine when they are in appropriate numbers. If you have too many it's a sign you have way too much food items in there for them to eat.... feed less and clean up more.
EDIT: He got in before me... LOL!

They are an important part of your maintenance crew. Removing a few isn't going to harm anything but they perform a necessary function so don't go overboard.
