I found these two little buggers crawling around in the colerpa today. I assume they are bristleworms and they are good to have in the fuge.
BTW, the pictures are not that great, that is why I am not even considered for a photography MOD:D .

Yep those are bristle wroms alright and they are good to have in your fuge. I just got a shipment of tonga slab rock and there are so many bristly worms in there I cant even count them. they are mostly small and harmless. Although I did see some about 5 inches long that dont look like they would be very fun to touch...

so whats the story on the bristle worm in the tank? I have a few, the largest is about 2 inches. Do I need to remove them? I thought about getting a coral banded shrimp to eat them but i am affraid that it would not get along with my other shrimp.

I say leave them in the tank. Only when they get really big can they cause problems. I think the largest one I've seen in my tank is about 3.5". Some will say throw them out, but most will agree to leave them in. Bo

Not only is that type of Bristle Worm harmless, they are extremely beneficial... at any size. Cherish these worms, just don't try to pick them up ;)

Cool, thanks Guy. How about that monster in my display in my other post? He's Tan in color and at least 4". He was stretched out at least 6-7" while he was going in the trap!

OK..so today I learned - Out with the mojano anenomies and keep the big bristleworm. Sounds like a plan.
Do you have any pics of bad ones? Just wondering how to tell the difference?
