and i could carrrrrre less. thank you very much.
naw, what i wanna talk about is hot sauce. and not that weak stuff that's at restaurants! not even tobassco. i'm talkin about REAL hot sauce. what's the hottest sauce you've ever had??
for me it's this stuff called Smack My *** and Call Me Sally. you can actually get it on the internet but you have to sign a waiver agreeing not to sue the company. HA!
this stuff is the ultimate party favor. especially when you have those tough guys that think they can handle everything. no joke, just dipping the tip of a toothpick is enough for you to burn for the next 15 minutes.
the next stuff i wanna get is Blair's 6am....

My Uncle's Schug. Schug is a mediterranean relish made with various different hot peppers. His is SERIOUSLY hot stuff. My Mom, who usually eats entire habneros as if they were popcorn, can't even eat the stuff without tempering it with tomatos. When my uncle makes it, everyone has to leave the house and he puts on a gas mask! :scared:
The stuff is AMAZING.... and a teeeny bit goes a loooong way.

hottest stuff ive ever had was at a restaurant on long beach island called the chicken or the egg. every wednesday night is wing night, it used to be 10 bucks all you can eat but i havent been there in like 3 years. they have about 15 different flavors and hottness of sauce. the hottest one is ludacris sauce. i put a drop on my tongue and my mouth was on fire for a long time. my buddy ate 2 wings with this stuff on it and his lips swelled up, his eyes were tearing and his nose was running for 3 hours. pretty wicked stuff.

pepper spray's made out of the exact same ingredient as most of these sauces. it's called capsaicin.

Oh, and I can't even take the tiniest bit of hot anything. Never have and don't want to try again. Insides DO NOT like it.

Tang,
What did the 6 am cost if you don't mind me asking. I wanted to get some 3 am years ago until I saw the $150 price tag.

Yep, and the guy behind the bar always has an open jar and a spoon so you can "Try some out"...
A dash of that in a Bloody Mary and you'll forget all about your hangover from the Snowmobile Derby and trip to Weasles...

Wasabi is basically horseradish...although not exactly the same it is "root" based and is in the same family...the nice thing about horseradish hotness is that it fades VERY quickly...unlike the oils in peppers

Yup everyone does, that is why the heat of sauces & what not is measured in Scoville units. One cup of sugar = 1 Scoville unit. However many cups of sugar it takes to totally cancel out the heat of the product is how many Scoville units it is. Back in the day this was done by a person tasting it to see if the heat was cancelled, but since everyone is different with that now they have some kind of machine that does it accurately
I used to know of this site where they actually categorized the sauces by Scoville units or intensity. I forgot what it is, but I'm going to try to find it. They had some cool stuff on there.
