So, I posted something like this in the Disease forum, but thought maybe the clownfish forum might give me a little more info.
My Percula has brooklynella

and I was just wondering if there's anything else I need to do other than the formalin dips (as in how to prevent this).
Does anyone know what causes this?

I believe it's a fungus infection. Formalin was the right choice.

It's a parasite. Formalin was the right choice. To prevent, quaranteen new fish for 6 weeks, and always buy captive bred that have not been exposed to wild caught fish of any kind. I've heard that tangs can be carriers. Good luck!

Looks like it's clearing up! There's no sign of it on the fish any where! Thanks for the info.

Brooklynella is caused by a ciliated protozoan (parasite).
