Brookynella taking amost all of my fish!

I have lost 4 fish to (I think) Brookynella within one week. I purchased a medication from my store and put the 1st fish in a sick tank with medicine and it died the next day. Day two, same thing with another fish. At this point I decided to treat my entire tank (75 gal.) The medication stated that you could do this. Now I have lost 2 more fish. I have 2 fish left that don't look sick yet....
How do I get rid of whatever is causing this in my tank? Is there a test or something that I can do to make sure I have it eradicated?? Should I do a water change or will this cause more stress on the 2 remaining fish?
I should have read this board before I treated them and did a bathe like described in a previous post, but I didn't and here I am.
Any help much appreciated!

Can you describe what your fish has wrong with them? Or post some pictures?
What is the medication you used?

I don't have a pic, but the pics I saw on-line looked like Brook. I also don't have the bottle anymore, my wife pitched it....
It was in a bottle and made the water turn yellow. I took out my carbon when I did it. I treated the entire tank for 3 days as per the bottle. I'll try and go back to the store to get the name brand..

Is Brook about the same as Ich? Would it be a good idea, to get rid of the remaining fish in my tank and go 6-8 weeks to get rid of the parasite as mentioned in the ich post earlier? I can leave inverts and live rock in there..correct?

You need to treat with Formalin after a freshwater dip if it's Brook. Formalin will kill almost all inverts so you will want to use a hospital tank.

Won't the Brook still be in my tank? Isn't it like ich and won't it still be in my tank waiting for any new fish to leach onto? I understand the bath will treat my current fish, but isn't it still in my tank?

It's a parasitic protozoan and although it's highly contagious it will not live very long without a host fish.

However, not in the display tank! Take a look at the information on formalin bathes in the FAQ Topic, top of this forum.
I'm not convinced its brook, but if you can't describe it, and can't post pictures, not much help can be offered.
Dosing your display tank with any medications is always a very bad idea.

Yes, sorry... in a hospital/quaranteen tank.
