Bubble Tip Anemone Feeding Advice

Ok, I got these frozen shrimp cubes to feed my new bubble tip that my local fish store recommended. I let a cube thaw out. After peer pressure from the wife, i used my bare hand to push some shrimp down into the tentacles. It sat in there for a few minutes and then the anemone pushed the shrimp out & back into the water. Any feedback or suggestions would be greatly appreciated on why this happened. Thanks.

LOL...first of all...Don;t use your hands, anemones sting
2nd...what exactly did you get?
(I feed mine frozen scallops from the freezer section) I thaw them and break off a small piece and place a piece on its tentacle WITH TONGS :)

They sold me Omega One Frozen Krill. Its a box of small frozen cubes. They told me that one was for the Bubble tip anemone. they also sold me the same thing in the Brine Shrimp which is supposed to be for my fish and corals.

YIKES....do not feed krill.....brine also is as good as potato chips
get some frozen mysis, and the frozen scallops and/or frozen raw shell on shrimp
(of course fresh if you have it available)

I use my hands. I have a bag of mixed sea food from the supermarket that's got scallops, squid, and shrimp. I cut them into small pieces and feed every other day. My anemone loves it!
