wow. i heard that bta could only live a couple of years in captivity. that is why i am reluctant to buy one. thanks

Get a split from a fellow hobbiest for a better chance of keeping one long term.

If given the right conditions, they can live indefinitely.
RBTA, almost two years now.

This is how I got my BTA.....a split from another split in captivity and mine has split 3 different times
Have had my LTA just as long and it was wild caught of course.

Green. 1yr + some. He's huge, I wait for split. I have better lighting about two paydays away and I'm hoping this helps.
Hoping it helps alot of things!
