Bubble Trouble

I have a bubble coral and for awhile it was doing great. Now it seems to be declining. In the middle of the coral it will not open and one side has shrunken down. Unable to get pics now but in the middle of the coral, I can really see the skeleton. My labs,.... water quality is within perameters. I'm stumped. Now, imagine the middle of the coral not open and the right side shrinking down to little bubbles. It's hard to explain. Please assist.

Hi!! long time no talk! I love your pic with your kitty on your nano tank! I have low flow, moderate lighting. I dose small amounts of aquavitro mag, strontium, and boron. Unable to test for strontium and boron so I dose lower than the recommended. trying to get a pic but I'm working today so may have to be tonight.

I have no clue what boron is....BUT why are you dosing those things?
How about your calcium and alk? get a pic tonight so we can see....I had a bubble coral that was almost gone and is now bigger then a baseball....all I did was make sure it had good flow (not blow over flow) and kept the water conditions good for it....and I LEFT IT ALONE LOL

I dose some because I was very low on nearly everything and the corals seemed lifeless. My alk/cal. I will test tonight, have to leave in 10 min. Will get those posted for you soon. Thanks M!!

why would you be dosing vodka? just wondering. you dont have a heavily sps dominant tank and LPS will suffer more in low nutrient system if you're not careful.

even if you're dosing less than the recommended amount, you should not be dosing AT ALL without testing for especially for boron.
