Building sump in basement!

Yes I do. I turned off the skimmer on Tuesday I think. Haven't been running it. I have a lot of micro bubbles from the drains. Now I have more bubbles because of scrubber. I also have a white film on tank walls I have to keep cleaning. What's up with that?

Can you try to put some sponge in the baffles before the return - or some polyfilter if you have some. And do you have your algae scubber screeen about 1/2" in the water? Looks like in the picture it is 2 or 3 inches above the water - lower it into the water and there will be no bubbles.

I need to get some filter pad. The scrubber screen isn't in the water. I could only find one size screen and it's not long enough.

That algae scrubber screen didn't look near rough enough. Did you scratch it really good with a hole saw? A screen that size should take about 45 minutes to an hour to adequately rough up.
The screen should go into the water about 1/2". It also looks like you have way too much flow down the screen. Try dialing your pump back a bit until your screen starts to get seeded. Once algae starts growing, all those microbubbles will go away, trust me! Then you can turn your pump up just a little more. It happened with my tank.
Looks like you need to put a sponge block between your baffles. :(

Putting the screen deeper in the water will help tremendously with the microbubbles. lol. It won't splash at all. You can cut another screen and zip tie it to the bottom of the top screen. I've done it before.. lol,.. pic...

See the little black zip ties at the bottom of the screen? The water coming down the screen just follows along and doesn't cause any excess splashing.

I think if you get the screen in the water your problems will go away, try adding a piece to the screen like SNAKE said - you might not have to put poly in your baffle, try extending the screen first.

Curious if you've tried moving the gate valve on the pipe coming up from the skimmer vs where you have it located?????

I just wanted to post a pic of the algae scrubber that I recently roughed up. The left side 4 notches aren't roughed up at all, then the further right, it gets rough. Just trying to give you an idea. lol. I don't know how well yours is roughed up, but it should feel like an extremely course sandpaper or cactus. lol When I rough up my screens, I typically accidently put a small hole in it or two....

I used a hole saw. It is very rough on both sides. I will have to plumb in a ball valve to turn down flow. The output of skimmer is under water.

Honestly Habs I'd try moving the gate valve back closer vs out on the down tube where you have it located.....Have you run it in this configuration before?

I built the gate valve mod according to ASM's specs. It ran for a couple years beautifully before I took it out. Probably needs to just break in. I'm more concerned about the film on the tank walls. The water is cloudy as well.

Ok I plumbed in the ball valve and turned the flow way down. Just gotta get some wire ties to lengthen screen.

Is it possible your getting dust or other particles into the sump? I'd honestly try a poly pad or a felt filter sock to try to clear it and once clear remove it and see if it reappears.....
