Do 250W Metal Halides 14K Put off more heat than 250W metal halides 10K?
I just changed my bulbs yesterday from the 10 to 14, and the tank (room too) seems a tad warmer...%%
The water is warmed from the amount of energy that enters the water and stays. It's not closely related to the temperature of the bulb unless you have a closed in canopy with no fans. Since a new bulb will usually put more light (energy) into the water it would follow that the temperature could climb.
