Bumble bee snails

Do the bumble bee snails eat clams?
I don't think they would consume any healthy/thriving creature...but they are likely to do the same as most other snails/crabs/shrimp and rapidly scavenge any creature that was dead or dieing.I have several bumble bee snails in my system along with numerous corals...including a healthy squamosa and the bumble bees have never been a problem for any of the creatures in my system. Is it possible that the clams were in trouble and your snails were just helping them out...so to speak?:(

I dont think so the clams looked great and had been doing well I have banned all the bumble bees to the fowler tank that should take care of it.:)

I have a couple comments.
I do not believe Bumble Bee Snails would be able to harm a healthy Clam. Clams have the ability to look great even while they are starving or infected. They will often look great right up to the day they are totally dead.
On the other hand, I do believe Bumble Bee Snails are predators. Their prey are mostly limited to other snails and worms though.
