Butterfly fish?

They're usually not expensive, unless you get the rare Red Sea Racoon Butterfly... that will cost a pretty penny. You can tell the Red Sea one because it doesn't have the black spot next to the tail or the diagonal lines on the head. From what I've seen of mine, they're pretty cool little fish, very active, always picking at the LR.

I love this little fish! He's a killer on the aiptasias, which is why I got him in the first place and he's definitely done his job. The tank used to be full of aiptasia, under, between, behind the rocks, all places I couldn't get to. Well, now it's 99% gone and he's working on the rest 1%.
Seems that's all he does all day, look for aiptasia to eat. Glad I got him... colorful, very active and does his job.

That's the problem, it doesn't seem as interested in other foods. I've seen it eat some mysis but it's always more interested in picking at the rocks. I'm hoping once it runs out of aiptasias, it'll start eating my regular food that I feed.

Yeah, I feed the Angelfish and Butterfly formula regularly, for my Queen Angel. The racoon doesn't seem interested. I was thinking to put an opened clam inside.

I just add the angelfish diet to the rotation which I feed twice a day plus a whole nori sheet every day. I have 3 fish that love the nori: sohal, queen angel and foxface. Twice a week I feed my eel either shrimp, squid or silversides. All the other fish eat the shrimp and squid but only the eel eats silversides.
I have a 150 gal and I've been looking for a home for the sohal and queen angel because right now they're borderline ok for the tank. I've been talking to the local zoo/aquarium and hopefully they'll take them.

Good news! The little guy started eating regular food and is now putting on weight. I was getting worried about him for a while, looking all skinny and not wanting to eat anything except aiptasia. Interesting enough, the first thing it ate was table shrimp that I was feeding to my trigger and eel. There were some small pieces floating and he went for it. Now he eats other stuff too.

Mostly butterfly fish have pointed snouts, very useful for plucking out the small coral animals and getting into small crevices for tiny invertebrates which they feed on. Yellow, white, and black are the most common colors for butterfly fish.
