There is no need to argue this link thing every time, folks. It shouldn't be a surprise, and please don't try to obviously skirt it as well. It does not make it easier for anyone. I am truthfully quite in agreement on the harshness on the no link to information sites...after all I can't post my own site.
I've said that for years. But I can completely understand why linking to other stores is not in favor. I left SWF many years ago because of the links and then realized overall it wasn't a big deal. I mean...google is pretty impressive and easy to use. I don't like enforcing this, I don't get my kicks out of a "power play" or something. Please drop it.
Personally, to answer the original question, I nearly always buy fish at an LFS. I do it because I want to see the specimen, coloration, behavior and whether it is eating. I want to know when it arrived at the store and how it has adapted. I have received fish from SWF and have been pleased, but if it is a fish that I am very picky about coloration, etc, I will for sure go to the LFS. However I have a LOT of LFS around...if this wasn't the case, it would be a very different story.
Inverts I often get online.
