calcium and alkalinity

Tested calcium and alkalinity today, calcium reads 380 and alkalinity is at 4
im mixing up a batch of kalk as we speak, will this also raise the alk in the tank. pH is at 8.2

It should raise calcium, alk and pH. Just don't dose too much at once. If you can find a reef calculator on dosage online somewhere (not too hard to find) it can help give you some guidance on dosage.

OK thanks. That's a good ALK level. Limewater will add Calcium and Alkalinity in equal parts so you don't want to raise your ALK any more. It whouldn't hurt to add some Calcium chloride to bump up your Calcium level without raising your Alkalinty.

the calcium chloride, is that just the liquid kent marine you can get anywhere
