OK i have a 140 and about 8 corals still trying to fill up my tank they all are doing great except my GSP wont open

I have never tested my calcium i am going to my LFS tomorrow to get a test kit.
What should my calcium be reading?
What is ideal for a reef tank?
They have a "Seachem" Calcium Maintaner drops/liquid you put in your tank would anyone recommend this?
Also what is Strontium?
they also have a "Seachem" Stronium Raiser is this neccesary?
And also a Iodide Rasier is this also good???
Anything else i need to be testing for or putting in my tank regulelary to maintain a succeful Reef Tank?

Calcium should be between 400-450ppm.
If it gets too low, corals will die.
I would strongly recommend that you make sure you keep the proper concentrations.

ALK is low more often than Calcium. Although corals consume ALK and Calcium at the same rate, ALK is lower to start with so it can become critically low much faster than Calcium.

I think all test kits come with instructions on how to read it, and what it should be for a reef..At least mine does, and I have 3 kits from 3 different companies.
