How did it get so high is the piont here...
If you are useing a salt mix that has a high amout of calcium in it, then water changes will not help...unless you use a mix that has lower calcium levels....
As suggested, your alkalinity is probably too low and you could use a dKH buffer that should lower Calcium as a result....but best to test alk/dkH to make sure...

If its because you dosed it, just give it time and it will drop. I would not even worry about calcium being too high even if its at ther point of precipitation. It will drop. YOu can always do a partial water change if it makes you feel better, as long as your sure that high calcium level was not caused by your salt, which I sort of doubt.

I was killing aptasia with calcium chloride and decided I better get a test kit so that I could monitor the calcium level as I did this.
My levels:
PH- 8.4
Alk- 300ppm Not sure how accurate this is the test kit is the kind with the strips and and the color was not an exact match.
Temp is 78
Not sure on the mag level don't have a test for this.

At that PH and ALK level it should be snowing in your tank. I agree that your ALK test is probably off. A water change should help everything.

what range is the alk supposed to be in? I am going to redo the calcium test to make sure I did that right since it was the first time I have ever done one and see if I get the same result.

Natural Sea Water (NSW) averages 100 - 125ppm. I recommend 125 - 175ppm because of the small volume of water in most aquariums.
