Calcium, Magnesium and Strotium

On 17 Feb 2012, i have added Calcium and Magnesium in my 90 Gallons tank.
please tell me when should i add calcium, magnesium and strotium in my tank?
right now, after doing calcium test, its 400 ........

Never.....if you do regular waterchanges you should not have to add any supplements

If you keep your alk and pH levels good, and do water changes, calcium should take care of itself unless you have a lot of coral. I'd only worry about mag if both alk and calcium were persistantly low. Do a good water change and see where you're at.

Strontium is a problem because it is so hard to measure.
I recommend you look up on line the dr randy holmes-farley improved diy 2 part method. That is a very easy to follow calcium alk magnesium dosing method and explains how to maintain all three even if using commercial products.
FWIW IMHO there is very good reasons why reef tanks have to dose calcium/alk/magnesium. Water changes alone (at frequencies and levels hobbiests can reasonably do) will limit deletion of those things but not prevent declines. Which is also true of everything else like nitrates, phosphates, and so on (only with increases instead of declines). So what you have to do in the case of calcium/alk/mag is dose to replace the consumption of the tank. For things like nitrtes and phosphates IME you have to increase the consumers. If done correctly calcium/alk/mag/nitrates/phosphates will just remain at acceptable levels regardless of the water changes being done.

i dont change the water at all because ammonia and nitrate level is zero in my tank..
i have sump system containing 50 gallons waters............infact i add the water once in a weak when the water level is down in my sump system......
why am i asking about these magnesium, calcium and strotium because they are helpful to increase coraline algae which is good

Forget strontium.
What you need to test for is calcium, alkalinity, and magnesium. Buy a test kit and use it. Find an online reef calculator, type in your numbers and what product you are using and then dose that. The test kit will tell you what your levels should be at.
Coralline algae is pretty but not necessary. And it will only grow in established tanks with very clean water.

You need to test Your water to know when to dose.
I use many test kits
API for calcium, is all you need
Salifert for Magnesium, like it but it would be better if it had a higher range
Salifert for Strontium, is not good I would try something else first
You say you are not doing very many water changes, I would also test Iodine the Red Sea Pro kit is one of the better ones.
