in my 30 gallon long i have 38 lbs of live rock and a 2 and a half inch sand bed and i curently have 1 damsels and my tank is about halfway through the cycle. i have a seaclone protien skimmer and an empoer 400 power filter and an extra power head for good circulation. i plan on getting rid of the damsel and getting a dwarf lion and a percula clown. could i keep both of those fsih together? and could i add a toby puffer? and will the tobies eat snails and hermits? if the toby will eat the snails and hermits i will probably keep a hawk of some sort.

The Dwarf Lionfish will sting the puffer most likely. Get some sort of hawkfish, there a better choice.

lions sting as a last resort. only as a defense mechanism. as with other poisonous creatures it takes alot out of them to replace the venom. most fish are born with the inherent knowledge of what will kill them and what wont so most fish wont attack lions or puffers

If you knew about the feeding habbits of both fish. Puffer bowls towards anyfood and shoots across the tank here and there. The lion sits in one spot crusin and the puffer will eventually swig over him and bam, sting = death!

ok well none of yall have answered my questions. i dont really care if the lion will sting another fish because lions dont usually sting other fish its when the end up in a really big fishes mouth and thats when they sting, or when they feel thretened and i dont think they will feel to thretened by a little tobie puffer. so could someone answer my questions i had in my first post and stop arguing? i would really like my questions to be answered!!!!!

That dwarf can eat a fish half it's body length if the victim as a long body like a Perc.
Go with a fish that has a "taller" profiles like Tangs or Butterflies. No triggers since they will make feeding your Dwarf a challange and could nip the fins and barbs.
Don't forget that dwarf lion's can still get pretty good sized.

Answer #1:
No. A Dwarf Lion and a Percula Clown are not compatible.

Go ask this question at www.pufferlovers.com When Pufferlover still posted here he would always say the same thing I did, no puffers and lions dont mix...majority always takes knowledges power...Puffer fish and lions alike will eat any inverts I belive in keeping agressive fish with agressive fish, dont mix or your gonna have brawls and dead fish and in the case inverts too.
