can i put a arrow crab and a pep shrimp in the same tank??

so i got a arrow crab the other day... and i am noticing a couple aptasias or glass anems .. so i figured that i would get a pep shrimp to take care of it.. but ive heard that the arrow crab can get a lil aggressive .. is it possible to keep them in the same tank... i have 26g nano about 20 pds of LR

Yes. Smaller tanks do not give the shrimp a chance to escape. It may work temporarily but the crab will catch and eat any shrimp. a large coral banded may work temporarily but it will be eaten once the crab is large enough. Arrow crabs get large and aggressive- mine has caught numerous healthy damsels.

If it's a small Arrow Crab then it will take a couple/few years before it is big enough to take on a Cleaner Shrimp. But, it eventually will be big and aggressive. Peppermint Shrimp typically have a lifespan of two or three years.
