Can I put my soft corals directly

Can I put my soft corals directly into the sand if I want to??
Colt, Mushrooms, Yellow Polyps - etc.:notsure:

If they are attached to a rock then that's OK.

I don't know if I'd "stick" them "in" the sand...but placing them "on" the sand may work...some soft corals can actually develop a base from attaching to particles of sand but I've seen them sort of rot from being stuck in the sand. A few loose mushrooms have made a sort of base from grains of sand...then I move them to a piece of LR to allow them to attach.:thinking:

Just wanted to add---just watch and make sure they are not stretching for the light, you may have to move them up a bit. That said, I am assuming they are already attached to/on a rock.
