Can I shorten the airhose on my skiimer?

I have a HOB skimmer (Seaclone). The airhose is real unsightly and long as you might be able to see in the pic.
Can I just cut it to a shorter length or is there a reason to leave it?
It's real distracting dangling around lol.
Thanx for any input..

Sure you can, but...as the ends get worn, you will want to trim them to keep them tight...so keep that in mind before you do cut it

+1 Also, the ends of the plastic hose get stiff and after a long time in the water won't fit the air bleed valve and the venturi input on your seaclone so keeping the hose a bit longer may be a good thing. then again, that hose is pretty cheap so you could just plan on replacing it regularly if you really want a shorter hose.
P.S. How's that Seaclone working for ya? I have had one for years on my 55 and it's been pretty good, except for having to silicone the connecting joints after the o-rings shrunk a little and caused a leak.
