Can my tank support an Anemone?

I have a 125G FOWLR going to a reef tank. I have VHO lighting. 2 48" Actinic "03" and 2 48" Actinic White. I also have 2 Korilia #4's. Do you think I can support an anemone? Will it mix with coral?

+1...sorry, But I think we have covered this before....you really need a metal halide withthat size tank (IMO) but I also am one who spent A LOT of money on light sets....that were not good....then after I finally got the MH....YAYYYY I have a healthy happy bta for 19 months now

You don't necessarily need metal halide for an anemone in a tank that size. Amazing advancments are being made with LEDs lighting. I know a guy who had a 250 softie tank and 500 sps reef (with many anemones, bta and carpets) all lit using LEDs. I have 2 150 w. units of T5 light over my 120 w/btas. I have used HQI lighting and have issues. I does provide beautiful light and an attractive shimmer but the heat is a big problem and the cost, well need I say more?

Do you want the anemone for hosting clownfish duty? If not, Rock/Flower anemones and Tube anemones could work.

I not think it's enough for any of the clownfish supporting anemones though....

I thought my lights could handle an anemone. They are twice as powerful as T-5's. I thought since my lights can support coral, why couldn't it support an anemone. Guess I thought wrong.
