i have red sea saltbut i have no way of measuring 1.4 lbs of salt per 5 gallons. can some1 find the measurement in cups or anything?? i dont have a scale or anything. thanks in advance

How about dumping in a little at a time and watching the SG. You do have some means to monitor the SG don't you, or do you just mix and hope?

i monitor it of course but i was looking for an estimate like in cups

seems like IO is about 2 cups per gal, its been a while.
You do have a Hydrometer, right?

Just slightly more than 1/2 cup per gallon will give you a salinity of 35ppt.
