can you id these shrooms

discosomas come in many different colors, most commonly shades of greem, brown, red and sometimes blue but other colors are common as well. Sometimes you can even get them in multicolored varities (ie striped).

do you really think the #2 pic is a rhodactis. the pic of the one in saltwaterfish.com does not look like the one in the pic

Just wondering, not try to be a jerk, are those glass anemones in the 3rd pic? Saw some that look like those in my tank, tryin to get rid of them.

yes, rhodactis can have a very variable appearance and the one posted on saltwaterfish.com is not terribly representative of the genus as a whole.

They look like parazoanthids to me...but yes similar to the appearance of aptasia in color.

dont know the real name, but we were told they are button anenomes. they started out on one rock with 5, now have spread to about 30

Remember that Rhodactis is a Genus. There are quite a few species under this Genus.
Looks like fmelindy really knows 'shrooms. I hope you continue to share you knowledge.

Thanks Bang Guy, I'm no expert but I try and read everything I can about corals. I've got my wife drove nuts with it! It's pretty much the only thing I read any more! :D
