I only have a small 2 head one...I do not feed it...They supposedly only require strong light and flow....Mine is fine.

Although they don't require feeding, they strongly benefit from it. Supplemental feedings of brine or mysis twice a week or so would help it grow faster and extend more fully.

Do you feed the head directly...I figure it would get it from whats floating around...I feed both of those + more in my tank

Wait till the lights go out for about 30-60 min (thats when they open up) and feed them with a baster. Mysis or brine (something like that) carefull not to hard cause they don't hold on to it very well. They do not need to be feed I haven't feed mine for about a year and they do just fine, but they grow faster. It also depends on the kind you have. If at night you don't see tenticles then that kind maybe more dependent on light then meat. Fraging these is very easy and I have traded them in for other corals of higher price.

My cany canes are out early in the morning(5 am) when I'm getting ready for work. I feed mine small enough pieces of krill & silverslides to fit in their grasp.

Just out of curiosity...How do you get the mysis to stick to it? I tried but it kept floating away...

Hello Meowzer,
I think you have to have the candy canes that have the tenticles come out at night. Yours might be just a sun eater =)
(just a guess)

LOL...So that means don't feed it...since food just floats away..
I guess it gets enough out of the water (I hope)

No I have sun corals also. Mine are candy canes and at night they have tenticals that come out and the mysis sticks to them.

I wouldn't blend it..it's small enough...Just carefully place it on it so it doesn't blow away
