I rip songs from my Cds and load them to my phone via USB. Takes a little time to cut the song with windows sound recorder, but I think it's worth it. I have verizon and an LG VX8100. Some phones are easier than others. I have one of the more difficult ones as verizon locks their stuff down pretty tight. The website to get you started is
http://www.freeringers.net
One time fee for the service. One time only. Was $7.99 when I signed up.
After you sign up you can rip music using your PC then edit it with windows sound recorder (they tell you how) and upload it to their site where it is sent to your phone number. You can send to up to 4 phones on one account which is nice if every family member has a phone.
If they say your phone is not supported there are ways around it. That's why I have to load them to my phone with the USB cable and BITPIM software which is freeware available online. Just google it if you end up needing it. Also see cellphonehacks dot com
