Very nice store trisha, I wish you the best of luck, too bad I'm nowhere near GA.
btw - I'm not sure if it's a good idea to carry any fish with a low survival rate like the Moorish Idol. JMO

I thought a lot about this and I wasn't going to carry one, but after I did some extensive research, I tried one. I hand picked her from the fish house. She was the only one with the really long dorsal fin.
The man at the fish house told me that they are the hardest fish to keep and that they do not want to eat anything. I started doing some looking around about the feeding and saw a post on a man who keeps them, he puts frozen brine, squid, dried algae, and plankton in a blender, freezes it and then soaks it with garlic and zoe. After that, he puts the thawed mixture in a half of a mussel shell and sets it in the bottom of the tank and they eat it. I tried to get mine to eat for a week on different kinds of food, and she wouldn't even notice it. I put some pieces of live rock in the tank and set the mussel shells on the live rock with the mixture, and wouldn't you know it, after a couple of hours she was pigging out!! I was too excited.
I may not even sell her! I love her so much - and she's beautiful! I am thinking of getting a 300 gallon tank for display and putting about 3 of them in there. But first I want to know how she turns out. So far so good. If she dies, I don't want to get another one - it would be too much of a waste. (they are too pretty to die!)
if you dont mind me asking, what do you feed your seahorses?

I feed them a mixture of things, frozen brine, plankton, squid, and they also like small glass shrimp.
They are eating fine and really fun to watch!! ( I want to take them home with me!!)

That's a nice, clean layout you've got for your store! I really like the water feature you created and that Myerii Angel is beautiful; I've never seen one of those before.

Well at least I'm close enough to visit. When will you be open for business? We're in Douglasville but will be moving back to Bremen shortly, just a stones throw away from Bowdon. Put me on you're mailing list (if you have one yet) and let me know what fish and corals you have in stock.
Thanks for being so consiencious about the hobby/business.

Thanks again for all of your wonderful replies. The name of the store is The Fish Bowl. I figured, what better name than that for fish??lol
I just went to the fish house today and picked out some more fish. I got a 14" pleco for my pond - he is HUGE - I couldn't resist!!
I love going to the fish house. It's about an hour away, but I get to pick out and net every little fish myself, this way I know exactly what I'm getting. Better than having them delivered, this way I know they are healthy when I get them!!
Thanks again everyone!!

BTW - Moorish Idol is doing wonderfully. I hope she stays ok!! Keep your fingers crossed for me!!
