Thanks so much for all of your replies, it makes me feel better after putting in all the hard work!
I wish all of you lived around here! If you do live in the GA area around bowdon, drop me a line!!

btw - I'm not sure if it's a good idea to carry any fish with a low survival rate like the Moorish Idol. JMO
I thought a lot about this and I wasn't going to carry one, but after I did some extensive research, I tried one. I hand picked her from the fish house. She was the only one with the really long dorsal fin.
The man at the fish house told me that they are the hardest fish to keep and that they do not want to eat anything. I started doing some looking around about the feeding and saw a post on a man who keeps them, he puts frozen brine, squid, dried algae, and plankton in a blender, freezes it and then soaks it with garlic and zoe. After that, he puts the thawed mixture in a half of a mussel shell and sets it in the bottom of the tank and they eat it. I tried to get mine to eat for a week on different kinds of food, and she wouldn't even notice it. I put some pieces of live rock in the tank and set the mussel shells on the live rock with the mixture, and wouldn't you know it, after a couple of hours she was pigging out!! I was too excited.
I may not even sell her! I love her so much - and she's beautiful! I am thinking of getting a 300 gallon tank for display and putting about 3 of them in there. But first I want to know how she turns out. So far so good. If she dies, I don't want to get another one - it would be too much of a waste. (they are too pretty to die!)
if you dont mind me asking, what do you feed your seahorses?
I feed them a mixture of things, frozen brine, plankton, squid, and they also like small glass shrimp.
They are eating fine and really fun to watch!! ( I want to take them home with me!!)
