I'm not happy. I ordered these two weeks ago and that is what I got. I know they won't make it. :(

Hi,
I know that you already know that not every coral is going to be happy and grow. I think those are SPS corals and they need super light, so the bottom of the tank may not be the best spot, they have 0 tolerance for nitrates, and they don't all like the same temps as other coral. Also I read once that leathers and mushroom coral are very toxic to them.

They are brand new corals that I received looking like that.
Boo!! That sucks.
Is there any tissue left on them?? Maybe move them up in the tank and give them some time to see if they will make it. Sorry that you got some bad corals mail ordered. I am have not ordered corals online before (fish, yes but no coral), because I always think I am going to get ones like you just got.
What does the site say where you ordered them from?

Oh Gemmy,,, they look soo pitiful :(
if thats how they looked when you got them Id email the pictures to the customer service where you ordered them from and ask for replacments or a refund... I just ordered 14 frags from a site close to me and they came in great (only 1 sps though,,, but still)
overnight shipping is the most important thing for corals especially SPS and less tolerant corals of that nature...

The seller is blaming UPS, and I am not sure what the seller is going to do. I ordered from a place in Maryland. Oh well. I have new corals coming today from somewhere else. :)

I hope they had a guarantee. I order on-line for my corals all the time, because the stuff in the stores around me have no variety. Whoever sent those corals out knew what they looked like before shipment....a coral won't die in a day from shipping, they close up tight and go into a sleeping state and open up when they are exposed to light and their world gets calm again.
If that place doesn't make it right with you...post the name so we all know who to avoid. That's why I like SWF.com but they don't always have what I want either.

I just got my corals from a different place. The two corals I got look great in the bags, but they did not send my other coral that I paid for. :(

That has been solved. The retailer called personally and apologized. Luckily, I will be ordering more from him and it will be all good.
