They are fools. At least that is my take. They are fine to watch, but I think that they are just tank and coral insert guys. They would not know how do do a reef if they needed to. To me that is the beauty of the a nice tank. That is is a live reef, not just a fancy tank with cool fish. And I find the practical jokes they do on the show a bit to forced.
Have you seen fish tank kings??? They one "fish" guy on there seems to be very knowledgeable. At least the one episode I have seen.

I have the full Spongebob set for my 55g FW tank, but I pulled it out after a year or so because it just got covered with algae. Plastic has a bunch of tiny pores and the algae sticks to it pretty bad. Nothing else in my tank had algae, except for the Spongebob set.
I love this mario bro's design. It's old skool lol. I have to show my husband. lol.
I have to say I am a dedicated fan of Tanked. I don't think the main guys do much of the installation and husbandry. In fact, I think many of the tanks are waaaaaaayyyy overstocked, but the guys are funny, like 3 stooges funny. I enjoy seeing the fish. My all-time favorite is the headboard fish tank for the furniture store. Way cool! Fish tank Kings...I am trying to get used to. The owner seems so rigid. Time will tell. Still, I love that there are these types of shows. Sure beats a lot of the other garbage on T.V.

How in the world do you think they keep those coral inserts clean after the install? I can't imagine the upkeep for some of those tanks...
