Hey where do you live. In Utah somebody just caught the biggest muskie on record. like 30 lbs 60 in. or something. I don't know the exact specs but it's about that big. If you catch them up here you can only keep them if they're bigger then 48 in.
I live in Illinois - caught him in Minnesota / Canadian border. I released this guy - still alive. If I decide to mount it I'll get a plastic replica made - about $400.
Awesome. I've never been muskie fishing but I want to try it. I always just hear the stories and a bunch of my friends do it. They always talk about how huge their teeth are. That's a little scary for me. I'm sure they're fun to catch though. Nice fish man!
I fish Musky on a nearby lake. Here, they have to be at minimum 48" before you can even keep them....
I've seen some really big ones Most are the Tiger Muskies though, a cross between Northern Pike and Musky.
