Aptasia is a bad thing, it will spread and kill all the coral by stinging it to death. You need to squirt it with a bit of Joes juice or he like.
I like the rocks you chose, are you planning on adding more? The coraline is awesome.

Oh. I always wondered what that thing was. I always heard of aptasia but I thought mine was just some kind of cool anemone or something.
LOL I am going to add more rock and corals. Just don't know what I wanna do yet. Any suggestions would be helpful.
But just keep in mind that I'm only 14 so I need some reasonably priced.
Haha And thanks! I love my coraline polka dots too!!

Well not a bad call, aptasia is indeed some kind of anemone. A Glass anemone. I saw more than polka dots of coraline.
Nothing is cheap except maybe frags. Xenia spreads pretty fast for coral. Your off to a good start with the mushrooms.
To have a tank like that at 14...be proud of yourself.

Thanks!! I have seen some xenia and it's pretty cool looking I guess.
Ill look at the lfs. I would love to have some zoas too cause I think they are just so pretty!!!
The only fish I have is a dragon goby, so any suggestions on fish would be nice too!!

Zoas are beautiful, but wear gloves they are toxic. I like a Royal Gramma, they stay pretty small and they are beautiful. Maybe a couple of clowns too.
I have to get to work, so have a nice night. Oh, what about moonlights...they are great.

Alright thanks! I didn't even know about the gloves. Royal grammas are pretty, and I was thinking about getting some black and white false perculas or some regular false perculas because they are very pretty too. Thanks for all the imput!! Keep replying!

In a tank your size the biggest I would go for is a #2 Koralia...they have a magnet so they stay put where you place them for flow. The ocean has big waves that help feed the coral and carry waste away.
Regular power heads do the same thing for flow, but they sometimes twist around or fall, this stirs up unwanted junk from the bottom of the tank or knocks the corals into the substrate.
Koralias are a little more expensive...a #2 will run around $60.00 ( my area) a regular power head is maybe $15.00 cheaper. It does depend on the store and the brand. So shop around. The prices I quoted are what I paid around my area.
