get a korallia 1, there about $30, great flow. also you could get a peppermint shrimp to eat that aiptasia. tank looks good.

A #1 is way too weak. Maybe two or even three #1s but not just one. A single #2 would be the same price and more flow.
Thinking about it...two # 1 Koralias would allow you to move the water in opposite directions and create a better flow.
I don't know about the shrimp, some will eat it and some won't and you have to get rid of it before it spreads..Use aptasia X or Joe’s juice. That is much faster and more sure. The shrimp however would make a nice addition, aptasia eater or not.

Ok maybe I'll try to raise some money to get a couple Koralia #1s or maybe one Koralia #2. I always heard people talk about them but I thought they were lights or something. Haha I'm pretty dumb. And sorry it took forever to reply. I was at my gmaw's all weekend. Thanks for all the comments on the tank. I think I used maybe 20 lbs. of Carribean sand in my tank or something like that. That might be right, I'm pretty sure. :) Keep replying!!!!

Well I set it up in February 2008. Then my tank crashed in I think like June or July. So it's been up for about 11 months or somewhere in that neighborhood.

Ah, I'm still getting the hang of all the parameters to keep in check. I have to admit I'm looking forward to my tank being a little more mature. I've only had it for a little over two weeks. So all the levels are still a bit iffy until the bioload levels out.

Yup and I hope your tank goes good. We'll have to keep each other posted. :) And thanks for replying! I'm glad somebody finally did. Haha LOL

People on the site may not seem say much sometimes, but we are always right here, reading every post just in case you need help.
You were having a good conversation, so I figured, why butt in?

Oh thank you flower!! I'm sorry I didn't really think about that... Well I have a question. Are powerheads usually easy to ''install''? That may sound stupid but... and thanks flower! I can always count on you!! :)

AWWW your just a sweetheart. There are no stupid questions.
To install a Koralia is real easy...they have a magnet, one for outside and the other is attached to the power head. Put your power head where you want it and stick the other outside piece over the same spot as the one inside, plug it in and your good to go.
It points any direction you want so you can adjust it. Also you can move it at any time by just taking the outside piece off and then kind of pry the power head up, it also has a suction cup besides the magnet to help it stay where you want it.
They are the best power heads in my opinion because they stay put. The other types I had to hang by string, and fight with it to stay where I wanted it to. They would fall and mess up the sandbed, or knock the corals over.

I installed a Koralia over the weekend, I just added the suction/magnet in my mechanical filter compartment after removing the sponge, then just put the sponge back in after I got it in place.
Just be sure to have enough room to get your cord out. You may need to make another hole in the back of your lid.
The extra filtration already seems to have cleared the tank better by keeping the debris suspsended so it can get into the filter

Ok I'm glad it's so easy! Haha Well I guess I'll do that. Should I just put the flow towards all the corals or what? Should I leave the other flow thing (in my pics) in there or what? So many questions!!!

Aim at the rockwork. Your coral needs good flow because the food is in the water current, but some like it fast and some just a little movment. So when you buy the coral check and see where it will best fit in your tank. Never let it blow hard enough to knock the coral off the rock...unless you can glue it in place and it likes a fast water flow.

Yeah, none of my good friends have tanks, so its nice to chat with somebody with the same setup.
So anyways, I had a bit of a loss; I had changed 5 gallons of water this weekend and adjusted my thermometer; apparantley too much as my clown got iche in the course of an afternoon and died overnight.
So today I had to completely rearrange the tank to remove the deceased to avoid an ammonia spike. But at least the rock configuration is cooler now.

Socalnano your new aquascaping is AWESOME!!!
And thanks for the compliments and stuff. So sorry about the loss of your little clown.
What's in there now?

Fish wise, I have a blue damsel and I just got a yellow watchman goby. For CUC I have 5 hermits, 3 turbo snails and a Narcus snail. I have a flame shrimp. Otherwise there's a torch (or hammer) (not sure on the specific name). In terms of the polyps I have like 5 colonies started. I also have a few mushroom polyps. I need to get a polyp classification book, dunno what any of them are called.
How do you get close up pictures of your coral? Mine is always blurry with my digi camera
