ChickenHedFred's 24 Gallon

Socalnano: I get closeups of my corals because I go to my shooting mode and put it on close up. Thanks for asking. I thought my camera was crappy. I always ask what kind of camera other people are using. HAHA :)
Unleashed: Thank you!! :) :) :)

Is there some kind of special "saltwater" super glue I can use to stick my corals or what? Last night I took some more pics and some pics with my blue light on. Will post soon!!!

Sorry that those last pics were really crappy but it always does that in the blue light. Here's some more!!

Let me know what you think :):) Even though they're bad. :( haha

I like your pictures. I know the blue light looks really neat and all but I am one of those who likes color. I even turn off my actinic lights sometimes just to see the true colors in my tank.
However at night...blue rules.

Looking good man. I lived in Huntersville about three years ago. Still have a lot of friends that live in your area. My wife and I both worked at the Lowe's HQ in Mooresville for years. What's the name of the LFS down there?

Wilks: That's awesome! It's in the strip right beside the Kohl's which is near Wal-Mart and all that. It's EXTREMELY small but really cool place to go. I used to live in Asheville when I was a baby! My grandparents just moved from there about a year ago. We still go up there to my aunt and cousin's house though. Maybe I'll see you!! LOL :)
Flower: Yeah I know. The blue lights aren't my favorite but it was nightime so I figured it would look cool. Maybe I'll eventually get better at picture taking.
Any other opinions are welcome!! :) LOL Thanks!

Oh thanks! My dad is gone all week in Canada for work and my mom just doesn't like all this fish stuff, so I can never go to the lfs. What spots would you suggest for zoos. Do they need really strong lighting?

You have to get rid of that aiptasia before it spreads and kills all the corals. Zoos like lots of light so set them high in the tank!

Ok like I said a couple posts back, I can never go to the lfs because of my parents. My dad would take me if he was here but he's gone all week. I've been telling my mom and she says,"I'll get to it later." or something like that. It makes me mad. Then I told my dad this weekend that the stuff is aiptasia but he didn't believe me. Then again, I think he might have been picking with me. LOL :) :) But I'll try!!

If you can get hold of one of those dosing syringes used for medicine for kids...get boiling water in it and squirt it right on the aiptasia, that should kill it and it is not hard at all.
14 is a hard age, just do what you can, and don't be too hard on your parents. With Dad gone all week Mom is just tired. Do you have other children in the house? Does your mom work?

Yes my mom is the manager of a BB&T in Troutman. She does a lot and works hard and I'm really proud of her. I have another little sister who is 10. She doesn't exactly do my mom any justice. She gets in trouble all the time and never does anything mom asks her too. But I love her anyway. HAHAHA I'll have to look for one of those baby suringe things. Do the lights have to be off or does that matter??

Lights on is best...that way the aiptasia will be in full bloom, thinking it will eat something yummy. Be careful not to touch it with the syring..that will scar it into hiding. just aim real careful like and ZAP it.
Sorry, I enjoy killing them too much I think.

I will definitely try to "ZAP" it reallly good. HAHA I will probably like killing it too. :) Thanks for all the help. So, what do you think about that sponge? And the pics.
