Oh like you don't like any music that was made before your time? None at all? Your parents don't listen to old music that you happen to like also?
As a very devoted fan of music and musician part of learning an instrument or enjoying a band is learning the roots of it. Like Pearl Jam for example. Their guitarists were very influenced by Stevie Ray Vaughn (at least their first album) who was very influenced by Jimi Hendrix, who was very influenced by Chuck Berry, who was very influenced by Robert Johnson. We're talking 8 decades of guitarists in that example alone. How about Metallica/Black Sabbath/Blue Cheer.
Or as simple as it could be... dang I heard a song on the radio and I just so happend to like it and... wow, it's an old song by an old artist.
