Choosing a LFS

i hv about 3 lfs within 15-20 miles of my home. from my personal experience, i like buying online when it comes to corals and certain fish. i hv very good experience with fish, corals and inverts from this site, and very good corals at the drs site. my lfs has mostly sick fish and overpriced livestocks. the only thing i hv bought from my lfs r a few fish and clams.

Meowzer, is 3,500 supposed to be a small town? My poor little town is so small it has lost it's post office and been unincorporated also. Just down to the general store, the irrigation district trailer, small grade school, voluteer fire station and church. That is why anytime I need to visit the outside world I take my styrofoam fish transporter and visit any LFS I can because you never know what you are going to find and want to bring home. The closest big town of 11,000 people does have a super Walmart and my fleet of super healthy and fat silver dollars in my 55 came from there, although I saw them come in in the morning and picked them up that night.

LOL...From where I come from to here...extremely small...

although I realize there are smaller towns...this ones drawback is also the distance from large areas that actually have stores

Yeah, except for the shopping, especially the LFS situation I find living in a small comunity far outweighs the hassles of big city life. Done both and you would have to drag me kicking and screaming back to the suburbs. LOL

funny you mentioned the fire dept ,they were just here an hour ago again.the retard that built this place has the security all screwed up and i was sitting in the living room and the fire alarm went off.
sent two firetrucks out again.
but the first time they got here i asked how to become a volenteer(cant spell)
since then i have a meeting to join up in a couple weeks sounds like fun.

if i can remember the only good store 10 yrs ago was in tonawanda.
my friend in strykersville has a 90 reef.
here in ft worth /dallas there are a bunch of good lfs.

DEEJEFFI was way south than you...LOL...I was born in Rockland County, and then I moved to Orange County (Newburgh)
