CC, you also need to tell everybody what your background is and where you went to school Once you hear the background it makes sense why he babies his clams so meticulously.

I doubt I want to do that. I make it a point to try to purposely keep my background off of the board

. Kind of like if I were famous (which I am NOT) and didn't want people knowing who I was. I just have an EXTENSIVE background in the aquarium industry, let's put it that way.
When it comes to Aquaculturing clams, that would kind of be like giving away my "trade secrets".

Candycane, The clams are just dandy and doing well. Still getting comfy and the mantles are fully extended over their shells and their are very responsive.

Sorry I haven't taken pics yet. Been messing with the tank all morning trying to find room and I did a WC. Then my skimmer decided to go ballistic for some reason so I had to yank that out. then I had to take pics of the skimmer b/c I promised I would do so!
Anywho, All is well! but pics will have to wait until tomorrow or Sunday.
So far so good!

Most clams gape when they spend a good deal of time shipping or in bags. They just hate it. Some of the others like Derasas, Squamosas and Gigas clams will just slam shut and stay shut even during acclimatiom.
