Clams under VHO?

Are there any clams that will do well under 800 watts of VHO? I would only want one to thrive, not just survive.

Squamosa, Derasa or Gigas.

I have a couple of squamosas that have done very well under VHOs.
Just out of curiousity, does anyone on the board have or know anyone who has a gigas?

i have a maxima under 150 watts vho on a 20 gallon long tank
it grows like mad and if very happy

Would they have to be placed up high on the reef?

I keep my squamosas on the sand bed.

My maxima has grown more than any coral in my tank. ( it is about 2/3 the way up the rock work in molderate current, and I dose DT's regularly)

From what I understand, Maxima and Crocea's do better under halides. But as was stated before you could go with a squamosa to start yourself in the world of clams

If you want them to thrive put them under MH

would any clam survive in my 10 gal. under 28 watt compact fluorscent lamp? just wondering .
