Clean Sump

Should my sump be clean, I have two live rocks in it and it looks like a real sloppy tank. I have all kinds of scum in it. and this morning I found in it what looks like a real small white worm. I went back later to find it and take to fish store but could not find it again. Should install a filter in the sump?

I personally never cleaned my sump anywhere there was sand or rock. The skimmer and return sides I wiped down and siphoned once a month with water changes.
If the fuge is getting really nasty throw a mexican turbo down there for a week. You will be able to see through it by then. I did that a few times when I wanted to take pictures of my fuge.
However, like Joe stated above, best advice would be given if pictures were included.

ok , I won't touch it. what about that little white worm that I think I saw in there, is that anything to worry about?

I have you beat. Today my Daughter and I, well...........lets just say we had solon day and i was the one who got the treatment and facial. Now excuse me....... I have to go tuck her in and grab my wifes make up remover stuff.
It's tough being beautiful!!

It's all good until one day you start cleaning your tank in drag. Then it may be too late!

ya...... no problem there. Daddy Daughter bonding there, I think.
When her and I get sick we lay around together and do Disney and spongebob marathons. she gets bored then and wants to do solon day. According to her, we both get facials, nails cut, hair did and stuff. I do her hair (just brush cuz I don't know how to do all that braiding and stuff) her facial and her nails for her. By the time we are done, we are exausted again and crash for another 6 hours. We do arue however on who has to pick up the mess. Lol
